Superfast fibre

Tap into a whole new world of opportunities

Superfast broadband is now available to more than 27.1m UK homes and businesses. We deliver it in two ways, part-copper, part fibre with fibre to the cabinet (FTTC), or pure fibre with fibre to the premises (FTTP). Both deliver download speeds of up to 80Mbps and upload speeds of up to 20Mbps.

Why do we need superfast broadband?

Our lives are more connected every day. At home, more and more gadgets and appliances connect to the internet – phones, TVs, games consoles, even kettles. Superfast broadband doesn’t just make uploading and downloading music, films and photos quicker, it also means that everyone at home can do what they want online at the same time.  Whether it’s online gaming, video chatting with family and friends, studying, streaming music or video or working from home.

And at work, small businesses are using the web to come up with better solutions for customers while helping their people work more flexibly and saving money by reducing travel and computer hardware costs.

Superfast fibre broadband means that everyone in a home or small business can do what they want online – downloading, streaming and so on – all at the same time.
